Job Search

Things are getting a bit hairy for yours truly. I need a job. And I can't seem to get one. I'd sit here and mope, but something in my gut tells me that isn't why people visit my site! On to something else: something that has been tossing over and over in my mind is the inclusion of my own programs on this site. Some fun java apps or perhaps some javascript (such as Cabel Sasser's Fancy Zoom). Maybe that way I could point out my website to potential employers and they could be totally impressed by my amazingness. Problem is, I would first need to write those programs. Sure, I have a few things on hand, but those are all programs written as parts of homework. And it's not exciting (for you) when you know 20 other people wrote the exact same code to do the exact same thing. But if you're really dying to see some assembly language code that imprecisely calculates e to the power of x, I could hook you up.

Not Last!

Happy New Year and all that but what I really wanted to share is that I just checked the results of U-Band chair placement auditions and I'm not last! I'm actually third from last and I don't think the last kid even tried out, but third from last is a slight improvement from last year.
On another note, I just showed up for a few minutes today to keep my admin status at 'active' since when I went inactive over the summer all of my pictures got ripped. I really want to avoid that happening again.
Oh hey! Big deal on Staples' blank media! I needed some more discs and saw Staples brand cd-r 100 pack and dvd-r 50 pack for $24.95 each. The real kicker was that each spindle came with a 256 MB USB memory stick. Hooray says me! So I got 3.
